Why Mentone Aquatic

Learn to swim in a safe, positive place

We teach swimming and water safety to the south east community in Melbourne. Every child is encouraged, guided, challenged and rewarded, and we take the time to understand what each student needs.

Small class sizes

Beginner classes are 1:4, intermediate 1:5, and parent and child and advanced are 1:8. Each is a maximum.

A pool just for lessons

The centre is only used for swim classes, coaching and private use, not general public swimming.

Refurbished centre

8 lane 25m pool, stadium seating, LED scoreboard, large change rooms and showers. Refurbished in 2020.

All abilities welcome

We teach students of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and experience levels, from babies to national level competition.

Parent & Child

Classes for little ones from 12 months to 3 years, with a parent in the water. Maximum 1 teacher to 8 students.

Coaching for swimmers preparing for competition. Squad runs at a maximum of 1 coach to 20 swimmers.

Programs built by Olympic medallists

Our swimming programs are designed by Olympic medallists Toby Haenen and Andrew Lauterstein, drawing on 30 years of swimming, teaching and coaching. Mentone Aquatic is owned and operated by ENGINE, one of the world's leading swimming brands. Our team trains regularly so every lesson reflects best practice.
